Evidence of rendezvousing with all that is.

What does a hummingbird have to do with Source? Quick background on me: I’m a bird-nerd. There’s something so compelling about our feathered friends. I enjoy bird watching, bird identification, bird feeding… my garden is specifically curated for my favorite bird species: the mighty hummingbird. Fun fact: a group of hummingbirds is called a Charm. How charming! Hummingbirds are also one of our most important pollinators, along with butterflies and bees. I’m drawn to their tiny, fairy-esque form and mischievous nature. My love of hummingbirds was passed down from my great-grandmother, aka Tiny Grandma. Tiny Grandma was all of four foot eleven, and shrunk down to four foot nine, if I remember correctly. She was a master gardener with an affinity for roses, dahlias and hummingbirds. I can’t help but think of her whenever I encounter those tiny jewels of the sky.

Back to my question… every day, or most days, or some days I go outside for my ‘Broader Perspective’ walk. I was given this assignment by my mentor as a means of connecting with the aspect of Source that is me, my broader, non-physical perspective. As I walk, slowly, with intention and focus on the world around me, I recite a mantra of truths about my Broader Perspective. As I recite, I look all around me for evidence of my Broader Perspective. So far, this year, I have rendezvoused with at least one hummingbird on each of these walks. Several times the hummingbird will fly right in front of my face! I know I am encountering that evidence I am looking for. I am rewarded in the language most dear to my heart. My Broader Perspective is so generous with evidence whenever I consciously focus. I just have to vibrationally line myself up with the experience. Some might argue that this is merely coincidence. To that I say, how many hummingbirds are you encountering on a daily basis?
